GSES COVID-19 Safety and School Policy Information
COVID-19 Safety Information
The issues faced by individual schools, tutoring and learning centers are often unique and require careful, individualized consideration while taking into account federal, state, and local guidance. It is Golden Star Educational Services’ (also called GSES) policy to follow all LA County regulations. GSES rents its spaces in the City of Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach and therefore GSES is also required to also follow the regulations passed down from local City Officials. In addition, in partnership with various charter schools, GSES is required to follow State and local ordinances revolving COVID-19 precautionary measures.
COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgment and Liability Waiver

Golden Star Educational Services (GSES) follows all applicable public health guidance issued by the State of California, Los Angeles County, the City of Redondo Beach, and our charter school partners. While GSES has implemented preventative measures intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we cannot guarantee that participants, instructors, or others in attendance will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19.
Health Certification
Children are not to be sent to GSES if:
-
They are currently experiencing, or have experienced within the past 72 hours, symptoms consistent with
-
COVID-19, including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, vomiting, or diarrhea.
-
They have tested positive for COVID-19 and have not yet completed the required isolation period.
-
They have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 and are symptomatic or have tested positive.
Return-to-Class Policy
Children who test positive for COVID-19 may return to class when the following conditions are met:
-
The child has stayed home at least 5 days since testing positive for COVID
-
At least 24 hours have passed since the child had a fever (without the use of fever-reducing medication),
-
Other symptoms are mild and improving.
After returning, students are expected to wear a well-fitting mask around others for 10 days from the start of symptoms or the date of the positive test, whichever came first.
Students with symptoms but a negative test may return once they are fever-free for 24 hours without medication and symptoms are improving.
